The Wellness Block: How NORA District Puts a Healthy Routine Within Walking Distance

by Matthew Pfohl

Walk to the workout. Walk to the juice bar. Walk home.

Wellness used to mean a drive. A gym in a strip center. A parking lot. A schedule built around traffic.

North of downtown West Palm Beach, that's changing. NORA District, the redevelopment named for North Railroad Avenue, has quietly become one of the few places in Palm Beach County where a healthy routine fits inside a few blocks.

What's on the block

NORA's first phase is retail and restaurants, and a noticeable share of it is wellness. As reported in January 2026, the district's wellness tenants include:

  • [solidcore]: 50-minute, low-impact, full-body strength classes on Pilates-inspired reformers.
  • SWEAT440: 40-minute classes mixing strength, HIIT and cross-training, with a new class starting every 10 minutes.
  • Celis Juice Bar: juices, smoothies and acai bowls, plus the Celis Run Club's group runs on select Saturday mornings.
  • Sana Skin Studio: a clean-beauty skincare studio built around education, not just treatments.

None of these is new on its own. Together, within walking distance of each other, they make something rare in South Florida: a wellness routine you don't have to drive to.

Why proximity matters

It's simple. The easier something is, the more often it happens. A ten-minute walk to class gets used. A twenty-five-minute drive gets skipped.

That's the idea behind our Wellness | Longevity Living pillar. The home matters. So does what's within reach of the front door. NORA is one of the clearest local examples of both.

Where NORA is headed

The district is being built in phases. Based on the developers' timeline as reported in January 2026:

  • Phase I, retail and restaurants: open, with 71% of its 163,000 square feet leased at that point.
  • Phase II, the Nora Hotel: expected to finish in October or November 2026.
  • Phase III, Nora Multifamily: a 12-story rental building with 350 units, completion targeted for 2029.
  • Phase V, Nora Condo: 117 for-sale residences, with sales expected to launch in late 2026 and completion in late 2029.

Nearly 750 homes are planned across the later phases. Until those deliver, the closest homes are in the Northwood neighborhoods and the downtown towers to the south.

Who this fits

  • Buyers who want a walkable, downtown lifestyle without living on Clematis Street.
  • Second-home owners who want their routine waiting for them when they land.
  • Anyone tracking the Nora Condo launch. Pre-construction buyers usually get the best choice of floor plans and views.

We follow NORA closely. Our NORA District page covers the neighborhood, what's open and what's coming.
